Food Porn

I always find myself on Sundays just browsing through my Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest pages stopping to look at every food post that I come across that checks my eye. You know the ones where the pictures are taken at the right angle and all of the vibrant colors just make you start to drool. Now you can't deny it.

Today I am going to share with you all my favorite sources and maybe inspire you to make one of their dishes. I tried that today when I went to Walmart this afternoon but was not able to find what I wanted. The plan was to get everything for Chia Pudding by researching a general idea of ingredients from one of the gals that I follow on Instagram. My list consisted of Coconut Milk, Coconut Nectar, Chia Seeds, and Lucuma Powder. I have never even heard of Lucuma Powder so I had no idea where to look and one of the workers just started at me like I was a crazy person. HAHA Which I am totally okay with that but moral of the story, I was not able find it and walked out with Coconut Milk, Chia Seeds, and Peppermint Schnapps (I was craving Peppermint Hot Chocolate).

First I will start off with a realistic and very convenient one for our busy day lives, Tasty. I liked them on Facebook allowing all of their posts to show up on my News Feed. Scrolling through each day, I can always find a recipe to use that night for dinner or for later during the week. The really convenient thing that Tasty does is post videos along with the majority of their recipes. Tasty is published through BuzzFeed and BuzzFeed Food is another one on Facebook that I like to follow. They have an entertaining aspect being their food quizzes. My favorite ones are comparing one food against another to see what I like against everyone else who has taken the quiz.

Second will be my all time favorite from Instagram, Put Your Heart In It. She name is Sirke, a professional chef and nutritionist who focuses mostly on plant-based recipes. I don't care if your a meat eater because I am in moderation but I know ones you start following her you will not be able to stop drooling. Sirke's page is where I started to put together the ingredients that I would need to make my Chia Pudding to create all of her amazing recipes. If you don't have Instagram, Sirke also has a Facebook page also called Put Your Heart In It.

Lastly we have Pinterest. If you don't have a Pinterest account you have been missing out on how to plan your life out. HAHA People literally have boards on what ideas to use for their wedding even if they are not even with someone. They also have food or a clothing wardrobe or arts/crafts boards and I am one of those people. It's great! This is the place that I started to learn how to eat healthier and ideas on different workout routines. I would say that this place saved my live and caused me to challenge myself. All you need to do after you create an account is type in the search column what you are looking for and hint the enter button on your keyboard. It will then allow you narrow your options down by clicking the words under the search column. Once you find something you like, click on the image and then click on it again and it will take you to that specific page. If you want to SAVE it, click that bottom on the Pinterest page and it will save to your boards or like it or you can send it to someone you are following on Pinterest.
